Facebook Privacy Adventure
Many people are focused in on Facebook’s new privacy settings which rolled out Wednesday.
The new settings are intended to give you more control in what your sharing with other people.
The most talked about update is thr One click control panel, which controls every single bit of information your sharing on Facebook including photos, wall posts, friends, etc.
Previously you needed to control all of this information one area at a time. Of course this option still exists, but user demands called for a quicker solution that ensures nothing is left out.
Mark Zuckerburg was asked why not make everything private and allow people to open it up from there. Zuckerburg felt that defeated the purpose of Facebook and I tend to agree with him. If your joining Facebook it’s with the purpose of sharing information and connecting with others.
Personally I find those that complain about privacy issues on Facebook simply shouldn’t be using it. The folks at Facebook have now provided you with the tools to keep things private, keep it protected yourself now or get off and start posting on blogger!
Further more follow the cardinal rule of social networking, “Dont share anything you don’t want others to see!”.
Can we move on now and drop this subject once and for all?
Let me know your thoughts?
